Fanes Sennes Braies, breathtaking itineraries in the Dolomites

The Fanes Sennes Braies natural park is the El Dorado of every mountain lover. Located at the border between South Tyrol and Veneto, it can be reached from San Vigilio di Marebbe, Alta Badia, Cortina d'Ampezzo and Toblach / Dobbiaco.

The whole natural park is a heavenly region of unspoilt mountain landscapes, vast green meadows surrounded by astonishing peaks and beautiful little lakes.

From the Lavarella mountain hut there are various walks, trekking and hiking trails leading in every direction. Short walks for the whole family, even possible with little children, longer and more difficult excursions for the expert mountaineers, vie ferrate, climbing trails, and of course the world famous Alta Via delle Dolomiti 1 (Haute Route 1), the legendary high route across the whole region. From the Lavarella mountain lodge you can reach several peaks: Lavarella (3055 m), Cunturines (3064 m), Cima Dieci / Zehnerspitze (3026 m), Sas dla Crusc (2908 m), Croda del Becco / Seekofel (2810 m) above the Braies / Prags lake, Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo / Hohe Gaisl (3146 m) and the Lagazuoi (2835 m), just outside of the park borders.
