Skiing through the Fanes Sennes Braies natural park

The Lavarella mountain lodge is open during the winter season as well, making it an ideal starting point for various ski tours in the magical landscape of the Fanes Sennes Braies park covered by the white snowy mantle.

Discover the Fanes plateau buried in a thick layer of fresh and white snow, away from the noise of the ski slopes. It is a wonder to behold, a lunar landscape where nothing has been touched yet and silence and peace reign.

Ski touring is the best way to explore this panorama: various itineraries, excursions or simple walks with or without snowshoes for the whole family. The feeling of skiing over a fresh layer of newly fallen snow will remain as an indelible memory of your holiday in the Dolomites.

During the winter it is possible to cover the distance from the Pederü hut of San Vigilio di Marebbe to the Lavarella mountain hut on your skis (ca 500 m height difference in 1 ½ to 2 hours).
