A charming chapel in the middle of the mountains

Next to the Lavarella mountain hut there is a small and pretty chapel, the “Picia Capela de Fanes”, built in 2003 by the architect Carljoseph Schaaff and dedicated to the Saint of Val Badia Ujöp Freinademez (1852 – 1908).

It is a charming little chapel made of wood and stone, paying tribute to the astonishing divine creation of the natural surroundings of the Fanes Sennes Braies natural park.
